Geelong Cycling Club Social Rides
Geelong Cycling Club supports all forms of cycling, not just racing. These rides are in support of Cycling Australia’s promotion of women in cycling and recreational riders. You’re welcome to join the Geelong Cycling Club family as a Ride Member.

GCC Weekly Thu morning Social Ride 7am – 9am
Weekly early morning social ride for members with Ride Membership. Not a member yet? Ride Membership which includes personal insurance when riding starts from just $30. Members with Race Memberships are also welcome to join. Coffee/Tea available in our new club house (Russell Mockridge Pavilion)
Mystery social ride to favourite coffee stop.
Distance 30-50km; average speed: 20-29km/h
Actual distance and speed depends on who turns up.
If the number of riders grows we may have faster groups and women’s group.

GCC Monthly Social Ride to Lorne, 1st Sunday 7am
Geelong Cycling Club Monthly Social Ride to Lorne on the 1st Sunday of each month. Members only ride. Must have either Ride Membership or Race Membership.
First group starts at 7am from Torquay for a 95km ride. Meet corner of The Esplanade and Price St (outside Frontbeach Cafe, 16 The Esplanade). Plenty of free all day car parking available. Ride to Anglesea and join the Second group.
Second group starts at 8am from Anglesea for a 60km ride. Meet at car park Anglesea Visitor Information Centre, Great Ocean Rd. Both groups ride together to Lorne for coffee then return. If you plan to start from Anglesea at 8am please email: membership@geelongcycling.com
Recommended Average speed: 25km/h. Race members can ride faster if they wish.

Members only ride. Must have either Ride Membership or Race Membership.
We’ll ride the route of the Amy’s Gran Fondo: Lorne – Deans Marsh – Barwon Downs – Skenes Creek – Wye River – Lorne. This can also be a training/reconnaissance ride for members entered in the Amy’s Gran Fondo in September.
