Effective of the 28th of June 2014 Cycling Victoria has introduced a rear light policy for road racing events.
For all road races, which are not run under a rolling road closure or closed road, conditions every participant must wear a constant (not set to flashing) red light on the back seat post of their bike. The light must be operational during the entire race and must be red, prominent, and visible from 200 metres. It is to be attached to be visible from the rear.
The policy applies to all road racing events taking place in Victoria. This policy will be in force from June 28 2014.
Riders need to be sure they comply with this policy for all GCC events.
The policy can be viewed on the CV web site.
